Awareness of Frustration

Before:

Frustration is often the first sign that something isn't going the way you expected. It doesn’t feel good, but it is a normal part of being an athlete. Expect it to appear occasionally rather than being surprised by it. When you feel frustrated in practice, notice what happens to you mentally, emotionally, and physically.

During:

The moment you notice frustration, don't ignore it or feed it. Simply recognize it: "I'm getting frustrated." Awareness gives you the chance to respond before frustration turns into anger or despair.
