Think of your confidence as a bank account. If you want to buy something, you need to make enough deposits until you can afford it. Confidence is the same way. You want to build up your confidence account so you can cash out in an upcoming competition. The more you’ve deposited the more confidence you will be and the better you will perform in competition.

After every quality drill, repetition, or effort, mentally make another deposit. When practice ends, say to yourself or out loud, "Money in the bank, baby, money in the bank" or “kaching!”, knowing today's work strengthened tomorrow's confidence.
