Episode #33: Mental Imagery-Part I of my Train Your Mind for Athletic Success podcast is the first of two episodes that shows you the power of mental imagery on athletic performance.

Though I will use the term imagery, you can use them interchangeably. At the same time, though the seeing part is important, I want to emphasize the importance of another key contributor to the power imagery, namely, feeling. Effective imagery isn’t just something that occurs in your mind, but rather it is a psychological and physiological phenomenon in which you reproduce the actual athletic experience in your mind and body. Moreover, it impacts you in every way in your sport: psychologically, emotionally, physically, technically, and tactically. You can think of imagery as weight lifting for the mind because it strengthens every mental muscle.
