Since I signed the contract for my third parenting book, tentatively titled, Parenting on Message: The 9 Essential Messages to Give Your Child a Great Start to Life (The Experiment Publishing) in mid-August, I have been under the gun (metaphorically speaking) to send my publisher a workable draft by Dec. 17th in order to have the book published in the Spring of 2011 (otherwise, I would have to wait another year for publication).
So for the past two months, I have been eating, sleeping, and drinking this book, knocking off about a chapter a week. Well, I am pleased to report that the manuscript is progressing nicely and am just finishing up my second-to-last chapter (about 65,000 words to date) and expect to have my first draft finished by Nov. 1st. I’ll then have about six weeks to flesh out, edit, and finalize the manuscript before submission to my publisher.
The writing process has been grueling, but exhilarating, synapse bursting and fun.
More news as it develops.
